Maximum efficiency in drive technology with compact AC drives from PETER electronic
With the MS3 product range of VersiDrive AC drives, PETER electronic defines the standard in terms of flexibility and performance and supports demanding automation projects in a wide variety of applications.
AC drives enable infinitely variable control of the speed and torque of electric drives. This makes it possible to increase the energy efficiency of drives while also reducing the mechanical load. This makes AC drives ideal as components in automation projects in a wide range of applications – such as pumps, fans or conveyor systems. AC drives enable optimal adaptation to a wide range of process requirements, reduce wear on sensitive components and thus contribute to lowering operating costs, optimizing processes and reducing downtimes.
VersiDrive MS3 series: small, smart powerhouses
With the MS3 series of the VersiDrive AC drive, PETER electronic presents a selection of AC drives especially for the requirements of micro drives. The especially compact and smart solution for micro drive applications was specially developed for flexible automation concepts.
With 0.2 kW to 22 kW, the MS3 series AC drives are ideal for applications with low to medium power requirements. Typical applications include pumps and fans, as well as packaging and conveyor systems and grinding and textile processing machines.
In all applications, users benefit from the option of precise speed control, variable motor adjustment and fast commissioning. The VersiDrive in the MS3 series thus has convincing arguments when it comes to using solutions that utilize resources efficiently, giving the user a competitive edge.
Well equipped for demanding tasks
The technical highlights of the MS3 series from PETER electronic are primarily the field-oriented, sensorless vector control or U/f characteristic for use with induction and PM/synchronous motors as well as the integrated PLC functionality. The latter primarily supports the implementation of simple automation tasks.
A freely adjustable start-up curve with intermediate points guarantees a smooth start, while an integrated brake chopper enables controlled braking. The series combines protection and functionality thanks to an integrated mains filter, reliable torque shutdown (STO) in accordance with IEC 61508 SIL2 and a high overload reserve of 150% for 60 seconds.
Another characteristic feature of the series is its compact design. Up to 40% smaller and therefore more space-saving than comparable competitor products among the low-power AC drives.
Despite their small size, the AC drives in the series have a wide range of communication and expansion options. These include slots for expansion cards and USB interfaces for fast data exchange.
Compact, precise, user-friendly
Users benefit from the small size and the resulting flexible installation options as a basis for implementing space-saving systems.
Thanks to pre-configured control functions, PLC integration and the option to upload and download data via USB, the AC drives from PETER electronic enable quick and easy commissioning. Integration into existing infrastructure, networks and control systems is guaranteed via communication and expansion cards. The options for tool-free wiring, replaceable fan modules and quick access via a removable front cover also contribute to uncomplicated installation as well as fast and user-friendly operation and maintenance.
