2-phase soft starter with high flexibility and comprehensive features
The VersiStart II plus 2-phase soft starter (38 - 105A) was developed to handle all demanding soft-start and coast-down situations. Common applications include pumps, fans, packaging machines, conveyor systems, and gate and door drives. The current and torque reductions achieved during startup protect the motor from both an electrical and mechanical perspective, ensuring long-lasting system operation. This robust soft starter is extremely flexible and offers ideal, application-oriented performance in all operating conditions. The starting and stopping behavior can be individually configured via the adjustment controls, including setting the starting voltage.
``` Among the key advantages of the 2-phase soft starter VersiStart II plus (38 - 105A) are its high maximum starting frequency, which allows for multiple starting cycles to be performed without problems, even within a very short time. The motor is protected by comprehensive, integrated protection functions. Through continuous calculation of thermal patterns, the associated motor can be automatically switched off and the circuit interrupted during overload phases to ensure maximum safety for both the motor and the soft starter. Furthermore, the soft starter performs a number of other useful protective functions, such as diagnosing undervoltage in the electronic supply, overheating, phase and ignition faults, and other problems.
Soft starter with the "plus"
Despite its comprehensive features and performance, the 2-phase soft starter VersiStart II plus (38 - 65A) comes in a compact housing measuring just 55 x 179 x 165 mm (width/depth/height), while the VersiStart II plus (80 - 105A) soft starter measures 81 x 222 x 180 mm (width/depth/height).
Thanks to its DIN-standard rail mounting capability, the new soft starter plus from PETER electronic can be easily and cost-effectively integrated into existing control cabinets. Installation is simple: simply snap the device onto a 35mm standard rail (38-65A devices), or onto 35mm and 75mm standard rails (80-105A devices). Alternatively, it can also be mounted directly using screws.
