With the extension of the Series VersiStart p III, Peter electronic now offers starting current limiters / soft starters with slow start for motors up to 600 kW, whereby the further development of the soft starter product range has set new standards. The starting current limiters / soft starters of the Series VersiStart p III convince with the high soft starter quality typical for Peter electronic, plus a wide range of functions that ensure optimum soft starting & run-down condition and high-grade protection for electric motors. The 3-phase-controlled soft starters combine optimum starting properties with comprehensive high-quality protective functions for all eventualities, installed in various housing sizes.
Starting current limiter / soft starters for all eventualities
The VersiStart III soft starter up to 600 kW has been designed for all difficult starting situations as well as optimum run-down of electric motors. It is intended for use in machines, with the aim of reducing starting torque & starting current peaks, and also the run-down moment of drives with 3-phase induction motors.
The extension of the soft starter VersiStart III up to 600 kW convinces with the high product quality typical for Peter electronic, plus a wide range of functions and comprehensive internal protective measures for all eventualities. The starting current limiter / soft starter starts and stops electric motors of the connected machine with utmost efficiency & precision, and convinces with compact design, high performance, and additional features. For example, the Smart Card plug-in permits the fast and space-saving extension of functions, instead of having to connect additional devices, and the soft starter can be operated as a complete system controller. Moreover, the soft starter is also suitable for network communication by means of the communication extension cards, which can be installed without problems. Each of these communication cards is fitted with a connection for remote control.
In this way, the extension cards offer branch and application-specific functionalities and use the soft starter for every communication standard. Optionally, the soft starter Series VersiStart III up to 600 kW also offer the possibility of controlling pressure and flow by means of the special pump Smart Card.
Starting current limiter / soft starters with Auto Start/Stop function
The VersiStart p III soft starters can be configured so that the motor starts or stops automatically at a preset time or operates in cycles for a specified period.
By means of the "clock mode", the starter is able to start and/or stop the motor once per day at a preset time. The "timer mode" permits the starter to stop the motor automatically after a specified operating time, and to restart it after a specified stop time has elapsed. The starter repeats this cycle as long as the 'Start' signal is active.
These time-controlled functions of the starting current limiter / soft starter for motors up to 600 kW permit the definition of new operating cycles and customized operation. Efficiency is improved, and operating costs are reduced.
